What is bokashi?

After fermentation, the pre-compost material is buried in soil or added to a compost pile to complete decomposition, eventually transforming into Bokashi—a nutrient-rich compost ready to take your soil or garden to the next level.

The Bokashi bran and coffee ground mixture is sealed in an airtight container. This anaerobic environment allows the microorganisms to ferment food waste, typically over a period of two to four weeks.
